An 8-week structured study of Nahw, Sarf, and applied Arabic exercises for students ready to deepen their grammatical and linguistic understanding.

This intermediate track is designed for students with foundational Arabic who are ready to engage with classical grammar texts in a structured and guided setting.
Students will study Nahw through al-Ājurrūmiyyah with reference to al-Tuḥfah al-Saniyyah, Sarf through Matn Bināʾ al-Afʿāl, and reinforce their understanding through weekly exercises and assessments.

Introduction & Parts of Speech
Nahw: Kalām; ism, fiʿl, ḥarf; identifying their signs.
Sarf: Roots and basic triliteral verb structure.
Tuesday: Identification drills and sentence classification.
Iʿrāb and Its Signs
Nahw: Rafʿ, naṣb, khafḍ, jazm and their markers.
Sarf: Māḍī and muḍāriʿ conjugation basics.
Tuesday: Parsing endings across forms.
Verbs, Fāʿil, and Nāʾib al-Fāʿil
Nahw: Verbal structures, subject, and passive constructions.
Sarf: Imperative and prohibition forms.
Tuesday: Parsing verbal sentences.
Mubtadaʾ, Khabar, and ʿAwāmil
Nahw: Nominal sentences; kāna and inna and their effects.
Sarf: Conjugation review.
Tuesday: Review + Midterm Exam.
Tawābiʿ
Nahw: Naʿt, ʿaṭf, tawkīd, badal.
Sarf: Derived forms II–IV.
Tuesday: Applied exercises.
Manṣūbāt (Part 1)
Nahw: Mafʿūl bihi, maṣdar, ẓarf.
Sarf: Forms V–X.
Tuesday: Parsing objects and adverbs.
Manṣūbāt (Part 2)
Nahw: Ḥāl, tamyīz, istithnāʾ, nidāʾ.
Sarf: Weak verb categories.
Tuesday: Mixed parsing exercises.
Makhfūḍāt & Final Review
Nahw: Prepositions, iḍāfah, full review.
Sarf: Comprehensive review.
Tuesday: Final review + Final Exam.
